Jill Yavorsky
Dr. Jill Yavorsky is an Associate Professor in the Sociology department and Organizational Science program at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. She received her PhD in Sociology from The Ohio State University in 2017. She teaches both undergraduate courses (e.g., Gender, Work, and Family) and graduate courses (e.g., Macro-Organizational Theory).

Her research interests include occupational segregation patterns, dynamics of economically successful couples, divisions of labor of new parents, and career and workplace outcomes. Dr. Yavorsky’s work has been featured in top academic journals including American Sociological Review, American Journal of Sociology, Social Forces, Journal of Marriage and Family, and Gender & Society, as well as in mainstream media outlets such as the New York Times, TIME, Forbes, Washington Post, Newsweek, Slate, Chicago Tribune, etc. In addition to publishing and teaching, she also enjoys consulting with firms on diversity and inclusion.
